Happy Full Buck Moon! Last month June made way for us to reflect a little more on the heart and soul of our businesses. July is continuing the theme of getting to the root but it’s suggesting we do so with a Cancer strong suit - vulnerability. Let’s dive in.
CANCER SEASON
We left off with the Sun moving into Cancer and now the watery sign’s conjunction with Mercury signals us to make peace with vulnerability.
Brene Brown defines vulnerability as “uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure.” It’s time to be honest with ourselves about what role we want our business to play in the Collective. And if you feel you have been holding back on putting yourself out there or sharing your thoughts, now is an opportune time to do so thanks to the Sun sextile Jupiter placement. Your sharing could be the “thing" that allows folks to connect with you.
7/3 FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN
This is a good time to reflect on the last 6 months around the structure of the biz and maybe even the purpose. What is the purpose? What do you want people to get from you? What do you need to scale the biz? Get very clear on what you want your business to represent. This Cap placement wants to step more into your authority and realize your greatest potential.
Also know that luck is on your side with this endeavor, as this moon creates a trine with Jupiter in Taurus.
7/10: MARS ENTERS VIRGO and MERCURY ENTERS LEO
If you have had a plan in place for a while, it’s time to put some action to it, thanks to Mars’ energy. Productivity should get a boost, as focus should be easier at this time. Now is the time to start working on the details.
Going back to the idea of expressing your vulnerabilities, Mercury in Leo is supporting you in doing so on a larger stage. Maybe it’s time to propose your workshop to a larger organization or do an IG live instead of a pre-recorded reel. Or maybe you could implement a more bold marketing strategy.
7/17 NEW MOON IN CANCER and THE NORTH NODE ENTERS ARIES
The new moon in Cancer is telling us it’s time to perhaps focus on nurturing the biz. Go within and do some digging to see what you and your employees may need at this time. Encourage vulnerability and create a safe space for folks to say what they really feel. It can only help.
The NN is suggesting we ask ourselves “How can we take the lead? What do we need to do to set ourselves up as authority figures or leaders in our respective fields?” Even though we won’t be in Cancer season for long, we can still cash in on the vulnerability that Cancer represents by drawing on the courage from warrior Aries. It’s time to break out from the pack.
Pluto will be squaring with the nodes on the 24th so expect some unasked for assistance in this area with some sort of shakeup.
7/22 THE SUN ENTERS LEO and VENUS RETROGRADE BEGINS IN LEO
Leo brings out the pride in us so this could be a great time to start thinking about your accolades. Start throwing some shine on your positives. Maybe you can add some testimonials to your site or social posts.
It’s also time to start thinking about the “it- factor” of your brand. Is it your funky appearance? Your gentle, empathetic nature? Your humor? What is the hook that draws people to your brand? The Venus retrograde in Leo is accentuating this question encouraging you to figure out what qualities you’d like to promote.
July 28: MERCURY ENTERS VIRGO
This placement totally echoes what has already been emphasized in the others, reevaluating the way in which you and/or your brand are showing up in the world. Again, asking you to focus on the details, especially when it comes to your marketing tools ie. newsletter and social media.
SUMMARY
This month is the month of vulnerability, both in the Cancer and Leo seasons. Another quote from Brene Brown, an authority on this subject, sums it up best: “Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.”
